The mission of the CARF Foundation

To pray for the diocesan seminarians and priests; to spread their good name throughout the world; and to promote their integral formation in Rome and Pamplona.

The CARF Foundation (acronym that stands for Centro Academico Romano Fundación) promotes activities of a cultural nature, aimed at the promotion and development of the humanities in all its manifestations, and, primarily, the specific formation received by seminarians, diocesan priests and religious of the Catholic Church. 

We believe that it is possible to improve people's daily lives through the integral formation of young men with a vocation to serve through the priesthood. For this reason, the CARF Foundation, thanks to its benefactors, contributes financially so that seminarians, diocesan priests and religious from all over the world can receive a solid academic, theological, human and spiritual preparation.

Serving the Church

Each year, more than 800 bishops from around the world apply for grants to help them train their students to become bishops. PUSC and in the UNAVMost vocations today are born in African or American countries, which lack the means.

Paul, a life under the protection of St. Francis of Assisi

Pablo Francisco Gutiérrez is a young 25-year-old religious of the Miles Christi Congregation. He has just arrived in Rome to study the Bachelor of Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, thanks to the support of the CARF Foundation, which not only contributes to the formation of diocesan priests and seminarians around the world, but is also committed to religious congregations, especially those that are more recently established. The mission of the CARF Foundation is that all its scholarship recipients have an adequate academic preparation to meet the challenges of the new evangelization.

Buy baby clothes and support the formation of priests

One of the most successful volunteer activities of the Patronato de Acción Social (PAS) of the CARF Foundation is called Teje que teje: "The team of volunteers makes baby clothes that we sell through our weekly flea market and the large bi-annual flea markets that we organize at the PAS. We also do commissioned work for individuals and companies - let us know what you need! Order baby clothes and help with the formation of priests and seminarians," explains Maite, the coordinator.
