Learn Rome with the PUSC

Learn Rome is the title of a series of videos produced by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (PUSC).

Audience with Leo XIV
Audience with Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter's Square, the traditional one every Wednesday. The pope walks through the square to greet the pilgrims from an open vehicle. A great opportunity to see the new Vicar of Christ up close.
The Holy Father imparts his blessing to the attendees at the end of the meeting.

Scavi vatican and crypts
After the audience with Pope Francis, we will learn the secrets of St. Peter's Square. Afterwards, we will visit St. Peter's Lorenzo in Piscibus for the Holy Mass.
We will have lunch in a restaurant near the square; in the afternoon we will visit the Vatican Scavi, the crypt with the tombs of the Popes and St. Peter's Basilica.

Catacombs of St. Priscilla
One of the oldest subway cemeteries in Rome with more than 13 km of galleries on two levels.
It contains the image of the Virgin considered the oldest in the world, the image has been dated to the beginning of the 3rd century (230-240). The painting depicts the Virgin and Child and a prophet pointing to a star above the Virgin's head.

Visit to Villa Tevere
Headquarters of Opus Dei where the prelatic church of Santa Maria de la Paz is located. In its main altar rest the sacred remains of St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer. And under the church, the Blessed Álvaro del Portillo Javier Echevarría, first and second successors of St. Josemaría.
We will participate in an intimate meeting with Bishop Fernando Ocáriz, the current prelate and grand chancellor of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.

Sedes Sapientiae Seminar
The international seminar Sede Sapientiae of Rome forms seminarians to become priests with a solid spiritual, academic, human and pastoral preparation. Located in the heart of Rome, it offers an environment of study and prayer, in close communion with the Pope and the universal Church.
In this pilgrimage you will have the opportunity to spend a day with students from 26 countries.

And much more...
This year we will share, on Sunday before praying the Angelus with the Pope, the celebration of the Holy Mass and a time of gathering with the resident priests of Altomonte who will give us their testimony.
We will visit on foot a little bit of Baroque Rome and some of its churches in the area of Piazza Navona and the Pantheon of Agrippa or Pantheon of Rome, one of the best preserved ancient buildings.
