Wieliczka salt mine

Tour of one of the oldest salt mines in the world, operating since the 13th century, also famous for its long tourist tradition: the mine forms a subway city, with chapels (the chapel of St. Kinga is the largest subway chapel in the world), lakes and tunnels.

Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska

The sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which after Jasna Gora in Czestochowa and Lagiewniki in Krakow, is the most visited sanctuary in Poland. It is a World Heritage Site, declared by UNESCO in 1999.

13:00 h: Arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport to check-in and board the flight to Krakow, with a stopover in Warsaw.

Arrival in Krakow: Reception by the accompanying guide and driver. Transfer by private bus to the hotel Golden Tulip Krakow Kazimierz or Golden Tulip Krakow City Center (****).

Dinner en route: Enjoy dinner at Srebrna Góra restaurant during the transfer.

Lodging: Arrival at the hotel and rest.
8.00 h. Breakfast at the hotel.

9.00 h. Visit with a local guide to Krakow, market square, the Town Hall tower, the old Cloth Market.

12.00 h. Holy Mass in the church of St. Virgin Mary with the altar of the brilliant sculptor Vito Stoss (entrance included).

13.00 h. Lunch.

14.30 h. Short visit to the old city wall near the Gate of St. Florian and the Barbican. Walk through the old town and visit to the Jagiellonian University.

16.00 h. Entrance to the Czartoryski Museum with the Lady with the Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci.

20.00 h. Dinner.
7.00 h. Breakfast at the hotel.

8.00 h. Departure to Auschwitz-Birkenau museum.

10.00 h. Visit (with local guides) to the territory of the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp, built during the German occupation of Poland. In this concentration camp, during the Second World War, the Germans murdered more than one million people, mostly of Jewish origin. Today the Auschwitz concentration camp is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

13.30 h. Lunch.

14.00 h. Departure to Czestochowa.

16.00 h. Visit to the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary of Czestochowa also called the Black Madonna: the most important pilgrimage site in Poland.

18.00 h. Holy Mass at the sanctuary.

19.00 h. Departure to Krakow.

21.00 h. Dinner at the hotel.
7.00 h. Breakfast at the hotel.

8.15 h. Departure to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki in Krakow.

9.00 h. Holy Mass at Lagiewniki.

10.00 h. Visit to the Shrine in Lagiewniki, the most important shrine related to Divine Mercy in the world, a pilgrimage destination for millions of people. This place, linked to the life and work of Sister Faustina Kowalska, was proclaimed "the center of Divine Mercy" by Pope John Paul II during his visit to Poland in 2002. The Sanctuary is composed of the convent (where the saint lived and died), the basilica and the chapel, which houses the tomb with the relics of Sister Faustina and the famous painting of the Merciful Jesus "Jesus, in you I trust" painted according to the vision of the Polish saint.

11.00 h. Visit to the shrine of John Paul II in Biale Morza - a district of Krakow - built on the grounds of the Solvay quarry, where Karol Wojtyla, then a seminarian, worked physically during the Second World War to avoid military service.

12.00 h. Departure to Wadowice.

13.30 h. Lunch at the restaurant.

15.30/15.40 h. Visit to the house where Pope John Paul II was born on May 18, 1920 (now a museum about his life) and to the parish church where he was baptized on June 20, 1920.

17.00 h. Departure to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska.

17.30 h. Visit to the sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, which after Jasna Gora in Czestochowa and Lagiewniki in Krakow, is the most visited sanctuary in Poland. The Mannerist architecture and the whole environment of the sanctuary was inscribed on the UNESCO list in 1999 as a World Heritage Site.

18.30 h. Departure to Krakow.

20.00 h. Dinner with a concert of Jewish klezmer music.
7.00 h. Holy Mass in the church of Corpus Christi.

8.00 h. Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning.

13.00 h. Lunch.

15.00 h. Departure to Wieliczka.

16.00 h. Visit to the salt mine with a local guide, one of the oldest salt mines in the world operating since the 13th century.

20:00 h. Meeting for the farewell dinner in a charming restaurant.

20.30 h. Dinner with Polish folklore concert. west of the Tiber and famous for its colorful and medieval houses.
6.00 h. Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.

6.30 h. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Krakow at 8.50 a.m. with stopover in Warsaw.

15.20 h. Arrival in Madrid. End of the pilgrimage.
