Sea of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee, also called the Sea or Lake Tiberias, Lake Gennesaret and Lake Kineret, is the only natural freshwater lake in Israel.

The pilgrimage visits the place where Jesus chose Simon-Peter, Andrew, John and James, and also where he walked on its waters.

Basilica of the Nativity, Bethlehem

The Basilica of the Nativity is one of the oldest churches in Christendom. It is a pilgrimage site consisting of several buildings.

It was built over the portal of Bethlehem, the grotto of the Nativity, where tradition points to the birth of the Child Jesus.

Holy Sepulcher, Jerusalem

Through the intricate alleys of the old city, the church of the Holy Sepulchre is accessed.

In this church, the center of Christianity, there are three essential places: the Stone of Unction, Golgotha or Calvary - the exact place of the Crucifixion of the Lord - and the Holy Sepulcher.

Cenacle, Jerusalem

The Cenacle is the place in Jerusalem where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with the apostles before dying on the Cross.

It is also the place where the apostles gathered after the Resurrection of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Another highlight of the pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

Mount of Beatitudes

The Mount of Beatitudes is the place where Jesus pronounced the Sermon on the Mounta guide to living the Gospel.

The church that crowns it, surrounded by gardens, invites the pilgrimage to meditate on the words of Jesus and to deepen the call to humility, justice and mercy.

Mount Tabor, is the site of the Transfiguration of Jesuswhere he revealed his divine glory.

From its summit, in addition to enjoying panoramic views of the Galilee, the pilgrimage can visit the Basilica of the TransfigurationThe sanctuary is an invitation to prayer and reflection on the divinity of Christ.

Itinerary of the pilgrimage

Presentation at the airport of Madrid - Barajas Adolfo Suarez at the agreed time. Check-in formalities.
During check-in, assistance from Halcón Peregrinaciones staff.

Mass at the airport chapel. Boarding of scheduled flight to the Holy Land. Arrival in Tel Aviv, assistance and transfer by bus to Nazareth.

Possibility of a stop at Mount Carmel to visit the Sanctuary of Stella Maris (weather permitting). Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.
Breakfast. Departure to Tabgha and the Chapel of the Primate of Peter. Mass at the Primacy of Peter overlooking the lake. Visit to Capernaum to see the remains of the ancient synagogue and the house of St. Peter.

Lunch. In the afternoon, boat trip on the Sea of Galilee and visit of the Mount of Beatitudes.

Return to lodging and dinner. In the evening attendance to the event of the day: torchlight procession, rosary or vigil.
Breakfast. Ascent to Mount Tabor to celebrate Holy Mass and visit the Basilica of the Transfiguration.

Panoramic views of the Esdrelon Valley in the Lower Galilee. Afterwards, visit to Cana of Galilee, to renew the promises of marriage.

Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to Nazareth: Fountain of the Virgin, basilica and grotto of the Annunciation. Visit to the residence of the Sisters of Nazareth and the excavations. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Holy Mass in Nazareth Basilica of Annunciation, in the grotto.

Departure for the Jordan Valley. Renewal of baptismal vows in the Jordan River. Afterwards, visit to the Qumran excavations (entrance fee included). Lunch.

Afternoon transfer to Saxum. Visit the facilities of the Activity Center and the Multimedia Resource Center. Arrival in Jerusalem. Overnight and dinner.
Breakfast. Transfer to Bethlehem and visit to the shepherds' camp in the Christian village of Beth Sahur. Mass in the chapel of St. Joseph. Visit to the Basilica of the Nativity. Participation in the procession of the Franciscans.

Lunch. In the afternoon, Basilica of the Agony, Garden of Olives and Mount of Olives. Views of the Holy City from the top of the hill. Walk to the Franciscan chapel of Dominus Flevit and Gethsemani at the Kidron Torrent. Return, dinner and overnight.
Via Crucis at 05:30 h. following the steps of Jesus along the Via Dolorosa. Mass at Calvary at 06:30 am. Breakfast.

Visit to the Basilica of the Resurrection, Calvary and the Holy Sepulcher. Visit of the Old City of Jerusalem: Church of St. Anne and Bethesda pool (probationary). Lunch.

Afternoon free for rest and personal activities. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure to Mount Sion to visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, the Cenacle and the Abbey of the Dormition of the Virgin. Mass at the Cenaculine.

Tour through the Cardo Maximus and the Jewish Quarter to the Wailing Wall. Lunch. Afternoon free for rest and personal activities. Return to hotel.
Breakfast. Departure to Ein Karem to visit the Shrine of the Visitation of Mary to her cousin St. Elizabeth and the Shrine of St. John the Baptist. Coffee break.

At the indicated time, transfer to Tel Aviv airport for flight to Madrid. Arrival in Madrid.
