Every year, at the CARF Foundation, we experience a long-awaited event. An unforgettable day in which the benefactors and friends experience a day of emotions with seminarians and formators at the Bidasoa International Seminary (Pamplona) and together with the students of the Ecclesiastical Faculties of the University of Navarra. In addition, in this edition 2025, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, we will visit the sanctuary of Torreciudad (Barbastro) and we will celebrate it in a special way.

Testimonials in the Ecclesiastical Faculties of the University of Navarre

The dean of the Faculty of Theology welcomes us into the classrooms where seminarians and diocesan priests and religious men and women from dozens of countries are trained. 

In the aula magna we will listen to the life and formation testimonies of some of the students.  

Get to know the Bidasoa International Seminar

After the visit to the classes at the University of Navarra, we will move on to the international seminar Bidasoa to participate in the solemn Holy Mass, sung by the seminary choir. We will have lunch with the seminarians and formators and celebrate the meeting with the presentation of the backpacks of sacred vessels to those who finish their formation and return to their countries of origin.

Celebration in Torreciudad of the 50th anniversary of the sanctuary 

In the afternoon, after the visit to Pamplona, we will travel by bus to Barbastro (Huesca) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the construction of the Torreciudad sanctuary, dedicated to Our Lady of the Angels, a Romanesque carving from the 11th century, which went from the hermitage to preside over the space built in 1975 by the architect Eliodoro Dols, commissioned by St. Josemaría.

Accommodation at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Barbastro

The night before the visit to Torreciudad, we will stay at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Barbastro. 

Located in the market square, the four-star hotel is very close to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption and a few meters from the place where Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer was born in January 1902.

Arrival at Madrid Puerte de Atocha train station and departure to Pamplona at 7:35 am.

Arrival in Pamplona and transfer to the Ecclesiastical Faculties of the University of Navarra (UNAV).

11:00 h
Welcome and testimonials at UNAV.

12:00 h
Transfer to the Bidasoa International Seminary and solemn Holy Mass.

13:30 h
Lunch with seminarians and formators.

14:30 h
Celebration and delivery of the backpacks of sacred vessels made by the Patronato de Acción Social.

16:30 h
Solemn exposition and blessing with the Blessed Sacrament.

17:30 h
Transfer by bus to Barbastro.

20:30 h
Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation at the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Barbastro.

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.

Departure to Torreciudad.

Solemn Holy Mass for the 50th anniversary of the sanctuary.
