The covid-19 pandemic has posed new and important challenges at the educational level. A process of renewal of the religion curriculum was already underway in different countries, in accordance with increasingly international and globalized requirements. To this must be added, as far as the Catholic Church is concerned, the publication of the third edition of the Directory for Catechesis (March 2020) and the establishment of the instituted ministry of catechists (May 2021).
In an environment of social and religious pluralism, the Christian perspective contributes to an authentic ethical and educational globalization in our digital culture. It makes possible a new existence, which is accompanied by the seeds of a new earth, of a new world.
