Sebastian Kanyelele is a priest of the Archdiocese of Mwanza in Tanzania. He is the sixth in a family of eight children.
"My educational life is as follows: primary education 1992-1998; secondary education 1999-2002; in 2002-2005 advanced level education. House of Formation 2005-2006 (Pope John Paul II House of Formation).
II Kawekamo- Mwanza; 2006-2009 philosophy studies at the major seminary of Kibosho - Moshi in Tanzania; in 2009-2012 theological studies at the major seminary of St. Paul, Kipalapala in the province of Tabora.
The pastoral year 2012-2013 at Archbishop Kawekamo Mwanza's home; 16/2/2014 I ordained deacon at Igoma parish in the archdiocese of Mwanza and on 13/9/2014 I was ordained priest at St. Joseph parish, Sumve in the archdiocese of Mwanza.
In 2014-2019 I worked at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Buhingo in the Archdiocese of Mwanza. In this parish I worked as a parish priest, a job I did for five years.
As a pastor I faced many challenges and many of them were associated with pastoral cases.
This impressed me to study more canon law so that after my studies I will have the good opportunity to help many Catholics in their problems related to canon law. Most Catholics in my diocese do not know the laws of the Church on marriage. This is my first assignment that I am going to do after my undergraduate studies in canon law.
