Pedro's story

"My vocation has a long history. I was born into a deeply Christian family, in a home that produced only daughters. One day, at the priestly ordination Mass, my mother prayed to God to give her a son, and to give him to her as a priest of her people, as the woman Anna had done in the Bible. A few months later, my mother conceived and gave birth to a son; she and my father glorified God and carefully gave me a human and religious education.

Since my childhood, I always wanted to be a priest. I did not like to miss masses, because those were moments when I felt very happy. During my adolescence I was an acolyte and choirboy in my parish, as a form of vocational exercise. In 2015 I entered the seminary. From 2015 to 2016 I attended the são Salvador Seminary in Dioese Mbanza Kongo, of which I am a member, while studying at Liceu do Tuku. From 2017 to 2019, I attended the major seminary of São Paulo in the Diocese of Uíje, where I took the higher course in philosophy.

Since 2020 I have been at the International Ecclesiastical College Sedes Sapientiae and I am studying the third year of theology at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce. I have had many good experiences during my professional career. I made the most of my training in Rome.

In my free time: I visit churches, I walk with friends to discover the city of Rome, I sing because I love music and I also do the good things that today's reality offers me. Thank you for all your help".
