I am particularly struck by the moment of the Eucharistic liturgy.

My name is Jonathan Daniel Mendoza Martinez from the Diocese of Granada in Nicaragua.

"As a child he always had the concern of wanting to be a priest, since he was especially attracted by the moment of the Eucharistic liturgy. Following that restlessness, in 2016, he entered the Minor Seminary of the diocese of Granada.

At the beginning my parents' opinion was not very much in agreement, since they told me to study something else, and to have a profession with an economic income. However, I thought differently about going and trying what a seminary was.

After a while, I ended up staying, and so I went to the major seminary. While I was there, I was presented with the option of continuing my studies outside the country. Another decision that my mother did not like, although she supported me. Now I enjoy this great experience, being able to be with people from different cultures is something shocking, and at the same time compromising. This is because among many different cultures and backgrounds, it is an exercise in understanding. At the same time, it is an enrichment, since what I can contribute, they also contribute to me. Therefore, it is important to value, and at the same time to know that each story has something different, but at the same time something in common that allows an enrichment of experiences. Mainly because this serves us, not only in these moments in which we are being formed, but for life. It is an experience that marks our whole life, and this makes us face many realities that the world needs to solidify. Therefore, those of us who are here bring a great challenge to the world, and ultimately in the Church.

Three years later, in 2019, my formators called me and told me that there was a possibility of finishing my formation studies at the Bidasoa Seminary and at the University of Navarra, to which I responded that I would like to.

From that moment on I undertook a new experience, from getting on a plane, since in my country I only traveled by bus, to getting to know another country outside my continent and with many people from all continents, getting to know their lives, their joys, difficulties..."
