My name is Jhoan Alejandro Zambrano Chivata, I was born on November 7, 1990, I am from the town Llano Largo, Jáuregui municipality of Táchira state, Venezuela, my mother's name is Rosa Elena Chivata and my father is Carlos Julio Zambrano, I have three brothers Carlos Eduardo, Enderson Javier and Yairis del Valle.
I would like to tell you in a few words how my vocation to the priesthood came about, since I was very young I liked to accompany my older brother to catechesis, I think that from that moment I began to have a taste for the things of God, I met Father Alirio Sandoval, Alirio Sandoval, a priest of my diocese who at that time had been sent as vicar to my parish, thanks to him who invited me to a three-day spiritual retreat led by the apostolic movement cursillo de cristiandad I could understand how important it is to seek holiness and the responsibility we have as Christians before God. Thanks to Fr. Alirio who motivated me to continue on this path, I decided to enter the seminary.
At the end of my philosophy studies and pastoral year, I received a call from my bishop, Monsignor Mario de Valle Moronta Rodriguez, who asked me if I wanted to study theology in Rome. When I arrived in Rome at Sedes Sapientiae International College, I got to know the priests, the rector Fr. Javier and the different formators to whom I thank God because I have learned to value this great gift of vocation thanks to their testimony and love for what they do, they motivate me to continue to respond generously to God. I am currently in my last semester of theology at the Pontifical University of Santa Croce.
