Humberto Alfonso Salas Gutiérrez is a seminarian of the Diocese of Cabimas in Venezuela.
He comes from a family with a deep-rooted Christian sense and a profound love for priests, and this support for vocations was fundamental for him to respond to the Lord's call years later.
"St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer said in his homily delivered on the campus of the University of Navarre in 1967: "We find this invisible God in the most visible and material things".
Today I bless the Lord because I have been able to find him in the hands of that lady who gives part of her income to offer it for priestly vocations, in the eyes of that businessman who gives part of his money to help a seminarian or priest in his formation. I have realized the great love that God has for us, which is reflected in the love that you have for us, the future ministers of the Lord."
"Thank you for every prayer, every contribution, every gesture that you have with us, this undoubtedly encourages me to move forward, to persevere, to give all of myself to form myself well and in the future to contribute to this: our Church, which needs good, holy and wise pastors.
I bid you farewell by reminding you that I pray constantly for you, and for the work you do for these little followers of the Lord. THANK YOU!"
