Studying in Rome is a dream

Benjamin Lewis Ng'ambi is the first seminarian from his country, Malawi, to be trained in Rome.. He studies at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and resides at the International Ecclesiastical College Sedes Sapientiae. He belongs, together with his eight brothers, to the Diocese of Karonga, which was created in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI. It has a population of 467,000 inhabitants, of which 65,000 are Catholics (14.7%). It has seven parishes and 17 priests. At the moment, there are 24 seminarians in his diocese. "All of them are studying in the seminary of Malawi, except for me, by a special grace and your generosity, I am studying in Rome.". Benjamin is very grateful to his benefactors: "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. Thanks to you, I have fulfilled a dream: to study in Rome, close to Pope Francis, which gives me a great spiritual growth. My bishop, Martin Anwel Mtumbuka, is also very grateful. My training will help many souls in my country."
