"I am Emmanuel EnwenwenI am a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene. I am the son of Mr. Etido Enwenwen Umoh and Mrs. Lawrencia Etido Enwenwen. I was born on April 29, 1989. I am a native of Ukana Ikot Otu in Essien Udim Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
On the ecclesiastical side, I come from St. Peter's Parish, Urua Edet Obo, in the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene. I started my formal educational pursuit at St. Brigid International Nursery/Primary School, Urua Akpan in 1993. Years later, I proceeded to Holy Family Nursery/Primary School, Urua Edet Obo, where I completed my primary education in 2001.
I was admitted to Queen of Apostles Seminary Afaha Obong, Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria in 2001 for my secondary education. I completed my six years of studies in 2007. At the end of my minor seminary formation, I was admitted into St. Anthony of Padua Spiritual Year Seminary, Nko in 2008. After one year of formation at the Spiritual Year Seminary, I went to Saint Joseph Major Seminary, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria for my Philosophical Studies in October 2008. I finished my Philosophical Studies in June 2012.
As a fundamental requirement for priestly formation, I was sent to Queen of Apostles Seminary for a year of pastoral experience. After a year of pastoral experience, I was advised to continue theological studies at St. Joseph's major seminary in 2013. The theological studies, which lasted four years, ended in June 2017. After the seminary diploma of formation, I was sent to another Pastoral Ministry. Experience at Queen of Apostles Seminary Afaha Obong, Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria in October 2017.
I was ordained a priest on July 7, 2018 by Monsignor Camillus Raymond Umoh. From September 2018 to June 2022, I was an assistant pastor at St. Anne's Cathedral, Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria. I also served in the Communication Department of the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria from March 2020 to June 2022.
I am currently in Italy to study Communication at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, thanks to the kindness of the CARF Foundation who offered me the scholarship. The Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene is located in Akwa Ibom State in Southern Nigeria. The diocese is blessed with many faithful Catholics and many priests. The current bishop of the diocese is Bishop Camillus Raymond Umoh. The bishop sent me to study communication to enrich the Communication Department of the Diocese".
