My name is Lifeng Chen and I was born on 01/09/1991 in Ningde, Southeast China, into a very Christian family of five: my parents, two brothers and myself, the youngest of them. My diocese is called Mindong.
The fundamental moment in my vocational life was when once during Holy Mass, at the time of the homily, I felt inside as if the Lord was telling me: Come, this is what you must follow: the life that I offer you, and I felt that the call to the priesthood was the lifestyle that Jesus was proposing to me to give myself to Him and, therefore, to the Church and to be His minister. His words filled my heart with joy and peace. I answered in my heart: yes Lord, I want it and I am willing. Because of the norms of my diocese, one must have a college degree before entering the seminary. So I went to college for four years, after graduating, I went back to the seminary to start my process and study philosophy for two years.
Then the Rector of my seminary in Mindong made me the proposal to continue my formation in Rome, and again I said yes. This is my third year of theological studies and I must say that in spite of the great challenges it has been a great experience. I continue to respond with great joy and perseverance to God's call.
