Situation: Seminarian
Origin: Hanoi, Vietnam
Study: degree in Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

My name is Minh Duc, Do. I was born into a Catholic family in the Archdiocese of Hanoi, Vietnam. There are ten of us in my family: my father, my mother, five sisters older than me and two younger brothers. My parents make their living from wine. Two of my sisters are religious sisters and live in the United States for their mission. Two of my other sisters are married and have one girl and two boys each. One sister and one brother live with my parents and help them in their business. My youngest brother is in his fourth year at a university in the city.

I felt the priestly vocation when I was about ten years old, because at that time I was touched by the atmosphere of religious zeal in my parish. To this day, I continue my priestly dream with my desire to help people to love our Lord Jesus and to follow his way. I am studying the third year of theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, where there are many good professors who help me to know God and the Church better. In addition, I am enjoying the life of prayer and community at Sedes Sapientiae College, under the direction of Opus Dei priests, together with seminarians from more than 25 countries of the world.
