I am Jinson Ernest from the diocese of Quilon, India. There are five of us in my family: my parents, one sister, one brother and me.
I am currently in my third year of theology at the University of the Holy Cross. First of all, I must say that my parents were the ones who motivated my vocation to the priesthood, with their examples of strong faith and prayer life.
In my childhood I had the desire to become a priest. As an altar boy, I got to know the pastors of my parish closely, and the contact with them also helped me to choose this path of God. Also, during high school, I had the opportunity to be part of a children's group in my parish and this helped me to work and participate in many activities for the youth of my parish. Since then I realized that God calls me to serve his people through his precious gift of priesthood. After my school studies, I entered the seminary.
