Tadeo Velázquez Centeno is a priest of the Archdiocese of León, Mexico.
"At the age of 14 I entered the seminary to study high school, and I spent 13 years in formation to be ordained a priest. When I was ordained a priest, I was appointed parochial vicar for one year in that parish.
Subsequently, the Archbishop sent me to study canon law at the University of Navarra, where I completed the first year of my degree, but I did not continue.
I was then appointed parochial vicar, where I served for three years. In addition, I have held the office of Auditor in the Tribunal of my diocese.
Now, I am in my third year of my degree in canon law at the University of Navarra."
I want to thank you for all the spiritual, moral and financial support you have given to me, to my diocese and to the whole Church.
"I want to thank you for all the spiritual, moral and economic support you have given to my person, to my diocese and to the whole Church, without your support my formation would not be possible.
I have a serious commitment to take advantage of all that this opportunity offers me. It has been a great experience to be preparing myself in my studies, but I want to share with you that as a priest, being accompanied by priests of Opus Dei, has been of great richness, since they have helped me in my spiritual growth, which is the basis of my ministry.
I hope to be able to continue my priestly formation and help our Lord Jesus Christ in the building of his Kingdom. May our Blessed Mother intercede for your needs."
Supports a vocation anywhere in the world
A full scholarship of 18,000 euros is the amount necessary for a candidate to live and study for one year at their university locations, whether in Rome or Pamplona. The neediest dioceses in the world require a full scholarship for their candidates. In many cases, the diocese covers part of this cost and a lesser amount is required, which is always indicated with the candidate's application.
What does a full scholarship consist of?
More than 800 bishops from all five continents request study grants for their candidates through scholarships. Thanks to benefactors like you, CARF meets most of the requests, but the needs are growing and we want all requests to be met.
In the graph you can see the composition of a full scholarship.
If there were no priests, there would be no Church. Let no vocation be lost for lack of resources.
