Audience with Leo XIV

Audience with Pope Leo XIV in St. Peter's Square, the traditional one every Wednesday. The pope walks through the square to greet the pilgrims from an open vehicle. A great opportunity to see the new Vicar of Christ up close.

The Holy Father imparts his blessing to the attendees at the end of the meeting.

Scavi vatican and crypts

After the audience with Pope Francis, we will learn the secrets of St. Peter's Square. Afterwards, we will visit St. Peter's Lorenzo in Piscibus for the Holy Mass.

We will have lunch in a restaurant near the square; in the afternoon we will visit the Vatican Scavi, the crypt with the tombs of the Popes and St. Peter's Basilica.

Catacombs of St. Priscilla

One of the oldest subway cemeteries in Rome with more than 13 km of galleries on two levels.

It contains the image of the Virgin considered the oldest in the world, the image has been dated to the beginning of the 3rd century (230-240). The painting depicts the Virgin and Child and a prophet pointing to a star above the Virgin's head.

Visit to Villa Tevere

Headquarters of Opus Dei where the prelatic church of Santa Maria de la Paz is located. In its main altar rest the sacred remains of St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer. And under the church, the Blessed Álvaro del Portillo Javier Echevarría, first and second successors of St. Josemaría.

We will participate in an intimate meeting with Bishop Fernando Ocáriz, the current prelate and grand chancellor of the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.

Seminario Sede Sapientiae en Roma

Sedes Sapientiae Seminar

The international seminar Sede Sapientiae of Rome forms seminarians to become priests with a solid spiritual, academic, human and pastoral preparation. Located in the heart of Rome, it offers an environment of study and prayer, in close communion with the Pope and the universal Church.

In this pilgrimage you will have the opportunity to spend a day with students from 26 countries.

This year we will share, on Sunday before praying the Angelus with the Pope, the celebration of the Holy Mass and a time of gathering with the resident priests of Altomonte who will give us their testimony.

We will visit on foot a little bit of baroque Rome, the Navona square, the church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the church of Gesù, the Trevi fountain.... We will also pass by the Pantheon of Agrippa or Pantheon of Rome, one of the best preserved ancient buildings.

13:15 h. Arrival at Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez airport for check-in and boarding to Rome (other cities, please consult).

15:45 h. Departure of the Iberia flight to Rome Fiumicino.

18:15 h. Arrival in Rome and transfer by bus to the hotel.

Free time and dinner.

07:00 h. Departure on foot to the square to attend the public audience with Pope Leo.

10:00 h. Pope Leo Audience.

12:00 h. Holy Mass in San Lorenzo in Pisicibus.

16:00 h. View Scavi Vatican, crypt of the Popes and end at St. Peter's Basilica.

18:00 h. Walking back to the hotel and free dinner.

10:00 h. Holy Mass in the catacombs of St. Priscilla.

11:00 h. Guided tour of the catacombs of St. Priscilla.

13:30 h. Lunch in Campo de' Fiori at Mercato Hostaria Roma or similar.

15:00 h. Walking tour of Baroque Rome.

18:30 h. Afternoon and dinner free.

8:30 h. Transfer by bus to Villa Tevere, headquarters of Opus Dei.

Holy Mass in the Prelatic Church of St. Mary of Peace.

11:00 h. Discussion with Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, Prelate of Opus Dei and Chancellor of the University.

11:45 h. Transfer by bus to the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (PUSC).

12:30 h. Recepción y sesión de formación con el rector de la Universidad, Prof. don Fernando Puig: El Gobierno en la Iglesia hoy.

13:30 h. Lunch at the PUSC in the company of students and teachers.

15:00 h. Visit of the university facilities, basilica and family photo on the terrace.

16:00 h. Estreno del vídeo: Testigos – Historias de sacerdotes.

17:00 h. End of the program at the PUSC, walk back to the hotel and free dinner.
09:00 h. Breakfast at the hotel.

10:00 h. Transfer by bus to the International Ecclesiastical College Sedes Sapientiae. And visit to Santa Cecilia.

11:00 h. Holy Mass at Sedes Sapientiae.

12:00 h. Tour of the school with the seminarians and family photo.

Lunch in the company of formators and seminarians from more than 20 countries.

13:30 h. Gathering with the rector and testimonies of seminarians.

15:30 h. Free walk in Trastevere.

20:00 h. Farewell dinner meeting at an Archimede type restaurant.
08:00 h. Desayuno y check out.

08:15 h. Transfer by bus with luggage.

Holy Mass at the Tiberino Priestly College, visit to the facilities and social gathering.

11:00 h. Transfer by bus to St. Peter's Square to attend the Angelus prayer with Pope Leo.

13:00 h. Concentration at the meeting point for the bus transfer to the airport.

14:00 h. Check-in and boarding, bound for Madrid.

Iberia return flight, departure at 4:15 pm and arrival at 6:55 pm.
