Lenin Alvarado Martillo is already 30 years old, and only three years after his priestly ordination, the pastor of the first church in the world dedicated to Blessed Álvaro del Portillo, successor of St. Josemaría Escrivá at the head of Opus Dei. Located in the working-class neighborhood of Socio Vivienda in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, this young religious was appointed by his bishop to lead a church that serves more than 30,000 people barely a year after his ordination.
