John Jairo Jaramillo Angel is a priest of the diocese of Jericho in Antioquia, Colombia.
""Since I was a child, I felt an inclination for "things of the Church", so when I was about seven or eight years old, I asked the parish priest of my town if I could be an altar boy and he said yes.
From that moment on I began to visualize the possibility of becoming a priest and I was reaffirming it by talking with the seminarians of the town.
When I was about to go from elementary school to high school, I asked my parents to go to the Minor Seminary, to which they agreed, but not before expressing their concern about the limited financial means they had.
I spent six years in the Minor Seminary, always trying to discern the Lord's call through spiritual direction, which led me to make the decision to enter the Major Seminary of the Diocese in February 1988.
The seven years of my formation, both in the philosophical and theological areas, gave me the possibility to mature my vocation to the priestly ministry which I received on December 2, 1994 in the temple of my hometown: Jardín, Antioquia".".
