Hung Nguyen Van is from Hanam, Vietnam, "I was born into a Catholic family, from the happy marriage of Minh and Nguyet who are my parents. Before the seminary I studied tourism at the civil university in Hanoi.
Because of God's call to the priesthood, I decided to enter the major seminary of the diocese of Hanoi. While I was studying at the university, I participated in the diocesan vocation formation classes, which is the first step in preparation for entering St. Joseph's Seminary.
In 2015 I finished my studies, and the rector of the minor seminary called me to live with the others so that I could be formed in community life. After two years of learning some language and catechism subjects, I entered the major seminary in 2017.
Pedro Nguyen Van Nhon, allowed me to go to Spain to study at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Navarra, in Pamplona, living at the Bidasoa International Ecclesiastical Seminary".
