Jesús Gamaliel Rocha Pérez is a priest from Monterrey, Mexico. He was born in the same city and was ordained as a priest in 2010.
"My family experience has been fundamental to my discovery of the call to priestly life.
From my parents, family and teachers, I have received the basic formation with which I have learned to value faith in God, work, study, family life and the values necessary to shape an adequate human experience, capable of facing the difficulties of our time.
From my mother, in particular, I have received the opportunity to know the Catholic Christian faith, since her devotion and perseverance have allowed me to experience the fraternal atmosphere of my parish community of origin; on the other hand, my father, with his experience and permanent support, has guided my first steps in this life as a faithful witness of responsibility and dedication to the cause of the edification of society through work. His unconditional help has allowed me to better understand the challenges of today's society. I will always be grateful to God for the gift of my family.
To the years of seminary formation and these first ten years of priestly ministry I owe the growth in Christian life and the opportunity to keep myself in ongoing formation, because the current demands of the world and the Church invite us to prepare ourselves with greater responsibility, in order to offer a better pastoral service in every apostolate".
"The experience as a student puts me in an unbeatable situation.
It is time to make good use of the knowledge acquired and, in addition, it is an opportunity to thank the generosity of those who make this renewing experience possible.
God reward you abundantly for your trust and generosity."
Supports a vocation anywhere in the world
A full scholarship of 18,000 euros is the amount necessary for a candidate to live and study for one year at their university locations, whether in Rome or Pamplona. The neediest dioceses in the world require a full scholarship for their candidates. In many cases, the diocese covers part of this cost and a lesser amount is required, which is always indicated with the candidate's application.
What does a full scholarship consist of?
More than 800 bishops from all five continents request study grants for their candidates through scholarships. Thanks to benefactors like you, CARF meets most of the requests, but the needs are growing and we want all requests to be met.
In the graph you can see the composition of a full scholarship.
